Coverage will begin on the first of the following month of your enrollment. For new Medicare beneficiaries who enrolled during ICEP, coverage will begin on the first of the month indicated on your Medicare card.
+ When is the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)?
The annual enrollment period is October 15 - December 7. Coverage for enrollments during this time will begin January of the following year.
+ I just want to know what benefits I can get why can't I do that over the phone?
We can give you all of the answers you need, but first the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all health insurance agents to collect a Scope of Appointment before discussing insurance products.
+ Why do I have to sign a Scope of Appointment when discussing health plans?
Before an agent can present coverage options and review plan-specific details, CMS federal guidelines require that both the client and the agent complete and sign a Scope of Appointment (SOA) form. This confidential form designates what your agent can discuss with you during your appointment. This form does not enroll you in any plan or require you to enroll in a plan.
